At Willow & Ash Yoga Studio, we believe that Yoga is a holistic practice that can transform your mind, body, and spirit. Our classes are designed to challenge and inspire you, while also nurturing your body and soul.
At Willow & Ash, my mission is to provide safe spaces and Yoga classes that are accessible to everyone and every BODY.
I believe that Yoga:
I became a Yoga teacher in July of 2023. My Yoga Teacher Training was facilitated by three AMAZING and transformational Yoga instructors - Julie Moore, Gillian Grant and Beth Bennett. The training was trauma informed and integrated all aspects of the mind + body + soul, which is important to me as that is the way I practice clinically as a local trauma therapist in the Owensboro community.
Every week I show up for other Yogis, provide safety + connection and allow my nervous system to be an anchor and help other nervous systems seek safety and connection. It is an honor and privilege to guide others in finding gentle and kind ways to move their bodies, connect with their breath and open their heart space.
Currently I teach Hatha Flow Yoga on Wednesday evenings from 630pm-745pm. We begin with breathwork using guided imagery meditation to prime our nervous system and then move into Hatha Flow. Cost for class is 20$
Hatha Flow Yoga is slower paced with each pose lasting 5-7 breaths.
Hatha Flow Yoga starts out on the right side of the body with an entire Yoga sequence, a transitional Yoga pose is in the middle and then the entire Yoga sequence is completed on the left side of the body. Yoga sequences involve gentle twists, standing, sitting, lying down with kind and compassionate openings of the neck, chest, back, abdomen and hips.
My classes are beginner friendly and I welcome advanced Yogis too! At Willow & Ash, I encourage ALL BODIES to show up in ways that are pleasing, kind and loving. Make your Yoga pose YOURS...that's where the magic happens.
I will be adding more classes in 2025 to include Yoga Nidra.
Yoga classes at Willow & Ash are designed to be inclusive and welcoming to all. I strive to create a safe and supportive space for everyone to practice.

My passion lies in the nervous system, which is why I teach and prefer Kundalini Yoga. Although I never intended to teach, Yoga became an integral part of my personal healing journey, and I knew I needed to share it. I used to say, "I can't take yoga, I am not flexible," but I realized that was precisely why I needed it.
After completing five Ironman triathlons and subjecting my body to intense training, I found Yoga to be the perfect remedy to connect back to my body and calm my high anxiety levels. I also realized pushing hard is not what my body needs. I learned to find my edge and honor it, which allows for growth and sitting in discomfort when necessary. With a more regulated nervous system, I am able to react to stress more appropriately on an ongoing basis. I am able to respond rather than react off the mat.
Through yoga, I discovered a profound sense of healing and resilience, and I am dedicated to helping others find the same through their practice. Join me on the mat to learn the elements needed to transform stuck-ness on any level to expansion, healing and personal power.
I love working with people open to healing and going deep within to see how their inner wisdom is the best guide they have. Learning self-love and self-compassion frees us to become the best version of ourselves that we all aspire to be!
Having been a competitive athlete my whole life, I have always enjoyed moving my body and pushing the limits athletically.
I hold a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and have undergone extensive Yoga teacher training, completing my first YTT in 2018 and another in 2021. I am currently 60 hours shy of achieving a 500-hour certification with Radiant Body Yoga, a combination of Modern Vinyasa and Kundalini philosophies.
Additionally, I am a certified 100-hour Yoga Informed Recovery Coach. My experiences led me to a profound healing, allowing me to meet myself where I was and learn the importance of holding space for others to do the same.

Yoga’s philosophy is as multifaceted and complex as life itself, yet its impact on me was undeniable. As I continued practicing, I found relief from my symptoms and a new way to cope with my undiagnosable ailment. Around the same time, I attended an EMDR training where bilateral stimulation, mindfulness, and even yoga were discussed. I realized how the principles of yoga could support mental health: meditation eased anxiety, body scans helped with dissociation, and breathwork regulated my nervous system, alleviating symptoms of PTSD.
My personal yoga philosophy is rooted in resilience and self-discovery. Yoga has given me the strength to endure adversity, to cultivate grit in a challenging world, and—most importantly—to never give up on myself. It’s a daily practice of connecting to my body, my breath, and the present moment. Through this connection, I continue to learn, share, and discover peace. It is this philosophy that I aim to share with others, both on the mat and in life.
Finding yoga in 2018 was serendipitous. At the time, I was navigating a mystery medical illness that left me feeling discarded by the traditional American healthcare system. One afternoon, I went to a yoga class with my daughter after school. That night, I had the best sleep I’d experienced in years. It was that simple but profound gift that led me back to the mat—and eventually changed my life.
Inspired by this connection, I decided to bring yoga into my therapy practice. I completed my first 200-hour yoga teacher training in February 2020, followed by a second training specifically designed for mental health professionals.
