Our skilled and compassionate therapists are dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing environment for ALL. They bring a wealth of knowledge and lived experience to our community.
We believe that Yoga and Psychotherapy are holistic practices that can benefit the mind, body, and spirit. We approach Yoga and Psychotherapy as tools for restorative and transformative embodiment of healing and authenticity. We, the Collective of Therapists, are committed to core values as represented by the National Association of Social Workers:
As a collective we believe in and value sharing space and resources, but not profits. It's like a co-op, where everyone contributes to the overall space and operations, but each therapist maintains their own independent practice, licensure, insurance and LLC. It's a model that prioritizes both community well-being and the sustainability of therapists livelihoods.
Our goals:
Ultimately, a therapist collective aims to create a sustainable and fulfilling environment for mental health professionals, allowing them to dedicate more time to their clients and less to administrative burdens.
Our team of experienced teachers, Allyson, Jennifer and Jan, are passionate about Yoga and helping others. They are dedicated to creating a welcoming, supportive and safe environment for all yogis, regardless of experience or ability level. We believe that Yoga is a holistic practice that can transform the mind, body and nervous system.
We approach Yoga and breathwork as tools for restorative and transformative embodiment of healing and authenticity.
We will be offering a variety of trauma informed Yoga classes in 2025 to suit different needs and preferences, including:
Our classes are designed to be inclusive and welcoming to all, and we strive to create a safe and supportive space for everyone to practice.
All Yoga props are available for use during our classes - mats, blankets, bolsters, blocks and more! We strive to provide for all needs so that your Yoga experience is filled with ease and safety.

I am a member of the Neurodivergent community I view my neurodivergence as a superpower to be used for the good of all. I love Marvel comics and find every opportunity to utilize comic book heroes and villains as metaphors for life, overcoming obstacles and encouraging transformative, and authentic embodiment.
I have worked for The Center for Women and Families as a counselor for survivors of domestic violence and sexual harm, the Cabinet for Health and Family Services as a Social Services Clinician for youth in foster care, Day Spring as residential support professional for individuals with different abilities, the University of Louisville Hospital as their weekend social worker and Owensboro Health Regional Hospital as their weekend Emergency Department social worker and then as the ICU RN Case Manager. I finally came home to my social work roots and began working at New Beginnings in 2016 as a therapist working with survivors of sexual harm.
I am trained in the following psychotherapy modalities:
I use Polyvagal Theory throughout all Psychotherapy modalities, as processing trauma becomes easier when the nervous system and body have found the benefits of regulation and resilience.
I am passionate about educating communities about Trauma Stewardship and Polyvagal Theory and I have created trainings that will help our community learn about trauma and the ability to build resilience.
I strive to live a life of compassion, kindness and empathy, through the lens of service. I am committed to using my voice and actions to promote equality, justice, and human rights for all. I believe that every person, regardless of their circumstance, deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. I am particularly committed to uplifting the voices of marginalized communities, including the LGBTQ+ community, Neurodivergent community and Bodies of Culture communities. My life's work is to foster a world where compassion, empathy, and kindness prevail.
I love spending time learning about cutting-edge treatments for trauma, being in nature, puttering in my backyard, resting, creating, innovating, and teaching trauma informed Yoga classes in Owensboro KY.
I accept private pay and sliding scale fees for therapeutic services.
Jennifer accepts the following insurances: Anthem BCBS, WellCare, Aetna, Cigna, OHRH Health Insurance and Quest Behavioral Health. Jennifer is currently being credentialed with Spring Health EAP.

I have been treating clients with trauma for over 20 years. The treatment approaches have been ever changing and it's important that therapists know the most effective and successful therapy options available.
I am highly trained and experienced in trauma treatment modalities and emotional and nervous system regulation. I truly believe that I cannot take you where I have not been. I have utilized all modalities that I offer in my own therapy with a therapist. It is important for anyone working in any helping field to receive regular mental health treatment. I also have experience with therapist and caretaker burnout.
What can you expect to take away from sessions with me? In our first session, we will spend some time learning about each other and discuss what goals you have decided on for therapy. Don't worry if your only goal is to feel better or you aren't sure what your goals will be. We will discuss this and decide in session.
You can also expect a therapist that is sex positive and affirming of lifestyles outside of heteronormativity.
My therapy practice strengths include offering unconditional positive regard, nervous system co- regulation during sessions and a non-judgmental, encouraging, space where you learn to create a felt sense of safety in sessions, for yourself and beyond.
You are in the driver’s seat and you are a great driver! I just have some maps you might benefit from. Working at a nonprofit, rape crisis center since 1998 has given me an inside view on gender inequalities that effect women and their quality of life. I know that women often feel unheard and have been betrayed by the system. I will provide understanding and I believe you. This includes all victims of abuse and violence. Everyone should be able to make decisions about their own body.
I am pro LGBTQIA, pro roe, pro Sex Worker, sex positive, and I continually work toward being anti-racist and I will do that work until the day I leave this earth. However, my practice is not limited to women. I have experience working with men, women and children. Everyone deserves to have a safe space to explore who they are and who they want to be.
